Q: Can I get a copy of your Zipline Owners Manual?
ANS: Yes, below is a pdf copy of the Owners Manual, feel free to download a copy. Let us know if you have any questions.
Q: Can you attach a seat to this zipline trolley?
ANS: You can clip or tie a disk seat or swing seat to the center of the trolley handle. A Home Depot bucket clip $5 (WorkForce Brand) works well for small kids. Attached is a photo of a homemade seat clipped onto the trolley. A seat is not included in this kit. I do not sell a disk seat but you can buy them online.
Q: Do these zipline kits have brakes?
ANS: No, brakes are a hazard on backyard zip lines. Do not set-up your zip line to require brakes to stop; use gravity and slack in the cable to stop the cable ride. If you setup your zip line to require brakes to stop and the child does not use them or the brakes malfunction, the child could hit the end tree. Do not expect the child to take their hand off the trolley handle and trigger a brake to stop.
Q: Do these zipline kits have a turnbuckle to tension the cable, like some of the other kits listed online?
ANS: No, a turnbuckle is not required to tension these ziplines; there are other methods described in the Users Manual (turnbuckles only give you 6 or 9 inches of tensioning stroke, with methods described in manual you can easily take up 3 feet of slack). Shown is a photo of an easy method to tension the cable with a ratchet strap; a ratchet strap and welded ring are included with your purchase, as part of a New Years Special.
Q: What is the recommended ages for these ziplines?
ANS: It depends somewhat on the individual but generally 3 to 83.
